This week a demo/prototype/prank? was shown off with Final Fantasy XIV running with Microsoft HoloLens, where the game was running on a laptop screen, and the UI was displayed in Augmented Reality around the screen. And while this isn't anything that appears to be fully in development, the implications of this are far reaching and exciting.

Getting over the cost of HoloLens, and that development will be needed to make this a reality.

The excitement was elevated when Microsoft HoloLens Official Twitter Account retweeted the information that was shared.
