When I first started playing FFXIV the game was full of people to the point where there was always a que to get online, but ever since the Shadowbringer hype died I've noticed a huge drop off of players on FFXIV.

New players where the first to start disappearing and the reason behind that is the overall lag in ARR when first starting to play FFXIV for the newcomers. The starting quests aren't engaging and very boring. Leveling is horrible and slow and let's not forget you have to play all off ARR to get to HW content and so on. That's about 200+ hours of mind-numbing gaming. I feel they should change things up with ARR or the player does better to purchase an ARR main scenario quest skip and go right to Heavenward.
