WIP 2!! i'm almost done with the base! i just need to make one more damaging ability and the rest of the PLD mitigations/clemency, then go back and refine stuff, look for errors, etc., pack the mod together, and i'll finally have something to release. i've even already started making alternate versions of some VFX, where they linger or fire off all at once.

DISCLAIMER: these animations are not made to be performed with a visible shield, so having one one will more than likely cause the shield to flip upside down.

i am hoping to figure out how to change Sentinel into Will-o'-the-Wykes, Divine Veil into something that references Brimstone or the barriers that Ifrit and Phoenix make, and..idk i'll think of something for the rest of the PLD-specific abilities, though I will say that Shield Bash looks like backhanding the enemy to stun it and i think that's funny and feels enough like Clive's Mortal Blows







for those interested, here's a list of ability changes and a couple notes on some of them (in video order; also, all animations, SFX, and VFX are sourced from the vanilla game):

Shield Lob - Charged Magic (randomized VFX: Fira, Blizzara, Diara, Thundara)
Holy Spirit - Charged Magic (randomized VFX: Fira, Aerora, Stonera, Darkra)
Total Eclipse - Scarlet Cyclone
Prominence - Wicked Wheel (with FF14 Garuda's SFX/VFX)
Holy Circle - Pile Drive
Fast Blade - GNB Wicked Talon with special VFX (based on Clive's basic ground combo, 4 hits)
Riot Blade - PLD Prominence with special VFX (based on Clive's basic aerial combo, 3 hits)
Royal Authority - Heat Wave (successful counter version)
Atonement - Burning Blade
Circle of Scorn - Megaflare
Expiacion - Lv2 Zantetsuken (when used in sequence with Goring Blade, they effectively make Lv3 Zantetsuken)
Holy Sheltron - Firelight (a mash between Clive/Ifrit's Firelight and SMN/Demi-Phoenix's Rekindle as well as a reference to using potions to heal)
Fight or Flight - Limit Break/Semi-Prime
Requiescat - Diamond Dust (not an AOE but I felt it fitting enough to include and ran out of suitable abilities)
Goring Blade - Lv2 Zantetsuken (when used in sequence with Expiacion, they effectively make Lv3 Zantetsuken)
Confiteor - Hellfire (based on Primed Clive/Ifrit's version of it, reduced in potency and scale; uses FF14 Ifrit SFX)
Blade of Faith - Aerial Blast (including FF14 Garuda's SFX/VFX)
Blade of Truth - Mountain Buster (including BLU's Mountain Buster animation and FF14 Titan's SFX)
Blade of Valor - Gigaflare (including FF14 Bahamut's SFX and SMN Teraflare SFX/VFX)
