Fight Crime and Take Down Evil Bosses in this Roguelike Fighting Game | Mutant Karate Canary (Demo)
0Mutant Karate Canary is a roguelike arcade fighting game with canaries as playable characters. The world map can be explored with a vehicle where side missions are available as well as hidden secrets. After each defeat or boss beat you skip to a new night, so you're not able to beat 2 bosses in one night for some reason.
Each fighter has 4 types of moves, one normal, one super which charges by hitting the enemy and the last 2 get stronger by picking the corresponding power-ups or adding the suitable cards from the deck.
After the first 5 fights I found the game a bit repetitive as you fight the same enemies over and over again, some of them are flipped sprites of the playable characters.
Another annoying thing is that bosses sometimes start the round with a ready super that deals a lot of damage, which is unfair. Also, the devs decided to put the vehicle controls on the controller's triggers, why?
