Fighting Hawk arcade 1cc
3A 1-credit clear of the arcade game Fighting Hawk [fhawk], played with WolfMAME 0.264. Score: 1,595,250. Very similar in vibe to the game Flying Shark (aka Sky Shark, aka Hishouzame), Fighting Hawk is a bit easier and features a lot of slow-paced sections. It's giving "Flying Shark for Tired People".
The game is generous with power-up and bomb items and even gives two 1-up items, as well as score-based extends. (You even get a stack of score-based extends for the million-point bonus for finishing the game)
I encountered a few sprite glitches, and occasionally the music cuts out - these might be emulation artifacts. Still, nothing that got in the way of the satisfying shoot-em-up experience. I do like the soundtrack, at least in part because the Taito soundfont is very familiar and cozy to me.
