Rock Pocket Games released their Lovecraftian space horror game, Moons of Madness, on October 22, 2019 to mixed reviews. A large number of reviews were positive or mostly positive, while occasional outliers like IGN were more critical. The game attempts to take themes from certain Lovecraft stories and blend them with the isolated atmosphere of Mars. The game is fairly puzzle-heavy, with solutions needed to progress at certain points.
Controls are the usual W, A, S, and D. Prompts (to climb a ladder, use a computer, etc.) appear when applicable; LMB is used for an action (turn over a piece of paper, submit a keyed entry, turn a handle, etc.), while RMB is used to "back out" (return a paper to a desk, leave a workstation, etc.). LCtrl and C make the protagonist crouch, but there is no jump in the game.
When Shane Newehart agreed to be stationed on Mars but have the company claim he was on Antarctica, he could have realized something was wrong. However, he just assumed Oroichi wanted to keep their work secret from prying eyes. Little did he know just how deep their secrets went — and how much danger they would bring upon themselves.
