Released on 26 September 2014 for the PC by Infinitap Games, Neverending Nightmares challenges the protagonist's mind by blurring the line between reality and thought. The game is based on a series of scenarios experienced by the author of the game himself, during his own battles with depression and OCD.
Controls are relatively simple: The standard W, A, S, and D for movement; the Space bar makes the character enter (a room, for instance); either Shift key makes him run; and the Esc key pauses the game, presenting a general game menu.
A defenseless man is confused by his whereabouts. He attempts to avoid monstrous manifestations of what haunts his home — what turns out to be his subconscious — in a quest to wake up into reality. Is his sister who she appears to be? Is there tragedy in the family? Will he be able to save anyone, including himself? Let's play Neverending Nightmares to find out.
