Jacob coaches Zach in Pokémon Emerald as they play their first soul-link. This is a randomized version of Emerald, so all items and encounters are random; we have no idea what we are coming up against. To add to the challenge, Zach hasn't played much Pokémon ... like at all.

Basic rules:
- Everything is random; items, Pokémon encounters, TMs, etc.
- We cannot use a Pokémon after they faint
- We can only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each encounter table
- Every Pokémon caught must be given a nickname
- Our respective Pokémon are in "pairs." If one of the Pokémon in the pair faints, the pair is considered "dead"
- Pairs cannot share primary typing
