Final Doom: TNT Evilution. Map 11 Ultra Violence 100% with commentary
I'm playing using the Crispy Doom source port to keep the original gameplay rules with a few quality of life features.
0:00 - Introduction
0:16 - Gameplay begins
0:46 - Softening up a revenant with rockets
1:03 - Many barrels, few imps :)
1:16 - Explaining upcoming Archville jump to megasphere
1:54 - Back to start to go over first rooms
2:02 - Up guard tower for computer map
2:14 - Viewing up upcoming crate maze
2:25 - Green building to clear
2:44 - Don't forget bonuses in guard booth
2:54 - First glimpse of crate maze
3:20 - Secrets #1 #2 enemies, green armour
3:48 - Clearing final outside enemies
4:01 - Blue door, for later, middle door for now
4:30 - Hadn't finished final outside bit
5:20 - Cheeky chaingunner!
5:40 - Climbing up in middle room
6:25 - Red key now
7:07 - Door opens, many monsters teleport in!
7:40 - Wrong way, can't get megasphere this way
8:09 - Blue key acquired
8:30 - Mass teleports start
9:16 - Second Archville is out!
9:48 - Need rockets here
10:36 - Through blue door to dark room
10:53 - Clearing exit room for later
11:04 - Attacking it from the lighter outside area
12:01 - That's all the kills, now to hunt last items!
12:20 - Light amp googles!
12:55 - Having a brainwave for last item
13:25 - Getting Plasma Rifle on the way out
E2M2 in Doom 1 is one of my favourite Doom maps, I can really relax in it. This level, not so much, its more vertical, and you can't clear it, it seems quiet them crazy after the enemies eventually teleport in, and then mostly aren't a challenge.
I'm just glad its over now!
Trying the Archville jump to get to the Megasphere was my biggest challenge here!
I have to say the monsters really get hampered by the map layout getting them to clump up while you can move around easily. Flying monsters would have been much more effective here
