Final Fantasy 13-2 (No Monsters, No Items) Ep. 32 - Amber, Garnet and Jet Bahamut
5This is it, the final boss of the fight. You'll notice a few things. One, I didn't post this immediately after the boss gauntlet where it normally takes place, this is because I couldn't win back then, but I wanted to show the fights prior to this one off with my lower stats. The other thing you'll notice is that my stats are much higher. I spent a bunch of time doing more side quests and farming CP to prepare for it. So what exactly was i preparing for?
This fight has 3 enemies. Amber, Garnet and Jet Bahamut. Jet bahamut is considered the main boss, and cannot be targeted or damaged while the other 2 are alive. So first you need to deal with them. Neither one is particularly special, and can be beaten fairly quickly. Jet however is much different. He boasts over 1 Million HP and can hit pretty hard. My goal is to do as much damage to him as I can before he revives the other 2 bahamuts. Everything is on a timer so keeping a good pace is key I can't waste a lot of time.
After a while The Trio will start using a Flare attack, and depending on how many are alive, it deals more and more damage. Either way, Once I see "Count: 3", I know i need to get healed up ASAP and switch to the double sentinel paradigm. The longer and longer the fight goes, the harder it becomes to survive this attack because of how much Wound damage is building up.
For my equipment, I decided to go for a pure stat build. Both Noel and Serah are using their Odin Weapons. These get stronger the more Fragments you've collected, and I'm currently at 110/160. So the stat boost is better than any other weapon I currently own. There are some better ones in terms of abilities that I can get, but I need the proper components for them, which I just don't have enough of right now, Also, Noel is wearing 3x Power Wrists and Serah 3x Magian Masks. Each give +10% Strength and Magic respectively.
After this, I'm going to try some of the Paradox bosses and DLC so stay tuned for that!
Some Final thoughts. FF13-2 is a really amazing game and I wish more people would play it. I hope to come back to it again soon. I'm glad it was picked for the Community Challenge (which only I completed) Join the discord to join in on the fun!
