I had attempted this one at an earlier stage prior to attempting the final boss, but I wasn;t quite ready to fight. This time however things have changed. I've had to do quite a bit of CP farming and it has helped tremendously for this fight.

This fight isn't entirely different than the first encounter, minus the Quick Time events. This time though once Royal Ripeness reaches 50% HP, all of it's attacks will start to wound me.

Another thing to note is that Royal Ripeness, has no stagger. You can build it up to 999% and keep it that way. You don't need to worry about losing it, since Snow will keep attacking to keep it up. For this fight I'm using my stronger weapons, and have gone purely for stats over Chain bonus / atb bonus.
