I've been grinding jobs in Castle Bal's basement, for about two hours, with ABP boost x4. This is netting 16 to 32 ABP per battle, which has allowed me to level a lot of jobs for each character. So, you may notice that the jobs and skill levels are much higher than the previous video.
Next, we leave the basement, and attempt to leave the Castle of Bal. We are then interrupted by a rather weak boss enemy, who we dispatch quickly and with ease. After that, we make way to Quelb.
Cutscenes and histories unfold regarding Bartz' dad, and the Heroes of Light from Galuf's world. In addition, there is a wizard by a well, who says that for 10,000 gp, and a "toad", we can get an item that makes monster-hunting much easier.
So, for twenty minutes or so, I'm roaming around south of Quelb, back around Castle of Bal, trying to catch Karnago's - the toad-like enemy I'm supposed to catch.
When I finally whittle his hp down to around 10 percent (100 or so hp out of 1000, roughly), he runs away.
Fortunately, I find out that using Death Claw, that blue mage spell acquired earlier on (see bestiary or guides for info on how to get that), I'm able to instantly bring the hp down to 1/10, and also stun the enemy. Now that the Karnago cannot run away, I can catch it easily, which you will see later in the video.
I think this is a good strategy for catching resilient and slippery enemies, so remember that trick if you don't know it already.
