So, I made a mistake here. First, if you watch the end of the last video, I thought I had killed Gilgamesh. It's optional. It turns out, you can spare, him - and I find out that I did. That's after I fought him again first thing in this video. I then reload the save from last video when I did successfully steal the genji glove from him.

Using that save, and realizing my error, we move forward.

To begin, I accidentally proceed too far, and fight Exdeath before learning Level 3 Flare from the Red Dragon. Because of this, I have to backtrack. I look up information that reveals that red dragons appear mostly on floors 7 and 8 (23 percent chance alone and 6 percent chance with both red and blue dragon).

After realizing this, I still don't have the right skills equipped to learn this spell. It also turns out, my characters are at level 43 at this point, and our levels have to be a multiple of 3 (3, 6, 9, 15, 30, 33, 45, etc.)

After realizing this, I level up my characters to level 45, using boost. I then disable boost. Then, we set "learn" to a member of the party, "control" to another, and make sure we have a white mage to cast reflect. Upon running in to a red dragon with the right conditions, we use control until it takes, cast reflect (quickly after!), and then make the red dragon use lvl 3 flare on itself. After doing this multiple times, it finally hits Krile, who is level 45 and has "learn" equipped.

We finally get the spell. Upon fighting Exdeath again, we make sure that each party member has "learn" equipped, because he will cast doom on at least one member. We take him down rather easily, even with our party being far from optimized (because we are somewhat over-leveled at 45 from using boost), and learn the "doom" blue magic as well.

Having collected all beast entries, blue mage spells, and treasures from this area, we are able to wrap things up. Our party manages to survive the battle with Exdeath, and have returned home - or have they?
