That said, Duel-Ready Johnny beats the mess out of me. What, with no items and just Mario with no way to heal, it's not an easy battle. It relies almost entirely on skill. Johnny uses Diamond Saw and other attacks I'm not good at defending, but I eventually get it down, after 10-15 tries. Pay attention to the items I use, as well as the party members I choose. Maybe a different strategy will work for you.
Also, we find the last hidden / invisible chest in Booster's Tower. Yay.
