Final Fantasy II Advance - Part 7: Downing The Dreadnought
2Part 7/28 in my Final Fantasy II - Advance walkthrough.
Enter the Dreadnought and use the phrase Wild Rose to force the Captain to attack you. He's not too tough, especially considering with Gordon you should have 2-3 people who can cure. There are a lot of Captains on this battleship, as you would probably expect. Passing them will sometimes (why only sometimes, we are intruders after all) cause them to attack you. On the first runthrough here I obtain the Sleep Blade and leave. I head to Fynn which has a huge Empire presence, so I can't use the Inn so head off back to Gatrea to heal instead.
Back in the Dreadnought, take the east passage as we need to rescue the Princess and Cid before destroying the Dreadnought.
Head off for the Engine Room, you'll come to a room with a lot of Captains in it, head to the north east corner for some treasures then back to the middle.
You'll come to a maze like room where Captains are blocking off the passages, weave your way around them and reach the engine. Chuck the Sunfire in and the Dark Knight will turn up just before you leave and Maria will recognise his voice, but we already recognised him from the portrait.
