This is video #07 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy II on the Nintendo GameBoy Advance. This game is part of the Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls compilation.

Previously, the party recruited Josef and his Snowcraft. Now, north of Salamand, they will cross the snow plains to the Snow Cavern.

Northwest of Salamand, the party begins crossing the snow plains (time 1:37). They will need Josef's Snowcraft to get across this area.

In the east of the snow plains, the party enters the Snow Cavern (time 2:48). They begin on level B1.

There is a big crack in the wall above the stairway. That can't be good.

In the northwest, there is a chest containing 300 gil (time 3:51).

To the south, a chest in an alcove contains 350 gil (time 5:03).

In the southwest, the party goes downstairs to level B2 (time 5:36). I'm half-surprised that the freezing water here is not damaging to swim through.

Around to the north, they take the next stairway down to level B3 (time 6:48).

To the west, a chest contains Antarctic Wind (time 6:54).

In the northeast, the party goes upstairs to level B2 (time 8:33).

To the southeast, a chest contains a Battle Axe (time 9:02).

In the south center, a chest contains an Antidote (time 9:32).

To the northwest, a chest contains a Mythril Mace (time 9:58). It also hosts a monster-in-a-box encounter with numerous Grenades.

The party returns downstairs to level B3 (time 11:48).

Around to the southwest, the party descends to level B4 (time 13:11).

In the northwest, a chest contains a Potion (time 14:07).

A chest to the east contains a Blizzard Tome (time 14:13).

To the south, a chest contains a Potion (time 14:51). Yaaay.

A chest in the southeast contains a Mythril Spear (time 15:26).

In the northeast, the party descends to level B5 (time 16:04).

In the northwest of B5, a chest contains a Mythril Shield (time 16:34).

In the southwest, a chest contains an Ancient Sword (time 17:24). There is also a monster-in-a-box encounter with Shadows and Ghouls. The Ancient Sword can inflict Curse with its physical attacks, but I'm not crazy about it otherwise.

The party goes through the southeast door (time 19:44). It leads to a den of giant beavers!

The party talks to the northern beaver (time 19:55). Guy reveals that he can speak beaver! What a shock. When Guy asks about the Goddess's Bell, the beaver tells him to go through a secret passage in the eastern wall. A monster guards the bell.

The party takes the passage in the wall to the east (time 20:33). This takes them to level B6.

In the southeast, a chest contains a Silver Cuirass (time 22:13). Not bad.

Then, the party finds the monster guarding the bell (time 22:26). This is an Adamantoise. The Adamantoise is tough, but it is quite weak to Blizzard.

Afterwards, the party approaches the wall behind it (time 23:30). They get the Goddess's Bell. Also, a stairway appears ahead of them! Nice.

The party goes up and through the door (time 24:46). It takes them all the way back up to B1.

Unfortunately, as they reach the exit, they find Borghen waiting (time 25:26). The Kefka wannabe does battle with them, but he is not too hard.

However, the true crisis occurs after the battle (time 26:18). When Borghen dies, a rolling stone is released from the wall! Alas, brave Josef. He won't be the last.

The party leaves the cave (time 27:55). They make their way out of the snow plains and back to Salamand.

The party returns to Salamand (time 30:30). They rest and save. Next time, they will travel southeast to Kashuan.
