This is video #04 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy II on the Nintendo GameBoy Advance. This game is part of the Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls compilation.

Previously, the party arrived at the town of Salamand, many of whose residents have been pressed into service to mine for Mythril. The party must now go to the Semitt Falls mine to liberate them and find some Mythril for the rebel army.
To go to Semitt Falls, they begin by traveling west from Salamand. At the coast, they can go south and then travel east up the river.
Southwest of Salamand, they find the entrance to Semitt Falls (time 1:32). Welcome to the game's first dungeon. The party begins on level B1.
In the northwest, a chest contains 200 gil (time 3:09). Yay for money!
In the southeast, a chest contains 400 gil (time 5:29).
In the southwest, the party descends to level B2 (time 6:37). Note that the party can swim through water in dungeons in this game, which is fairly rare for RPGs like this.
In the northwest, a chest contains Eye Drops (time 6:59). These cure blindness/darkness.
To the east of the Eye Drops, a chest contains a Potion (time 7:35).
In the southeast, a chest contains a Hi-Potion (time 8:28).
At the four doors, the western door leads on (time 8:36). The other three lead to empty rooms. I will ignore doors that lead to empty rooms. Getting out often requires the party to beat some enemies.
The party descends to level B3 (time 9:02).
In the southeast, a chest contains 200 gil (time 9:57).
Across a bridge to the west, a chest contains 250 gil (time 10:36).
At the three doors, the party goes through the western door (time 12:00). Here is where the slaves from Salamand are being kept.
The party also finds Paul, the thief they met in Altair (time 12:20). The girl next to him is Josef's daughter, Nelly. Paul got caught trying to steal some mythril. Now, he'll help Nelly and the other Salamanders escape while the party continues.
The party continues downstairs to level B4 (time 13:31).
In the northwest, a chest contains a Fire Tome (time 14:04). If you need anyone to learn Fire, here you go! Having multiple people learn offensive spells is not a bad idea.
In the southeast, the party descends to level B5 (time 15:28).
In the north, a chest contains a Teleport Tome (time 17:01). It also has a monster-in-a-box, a Land Turtle. The Land Turtle is weak to ice magic, so hopefully you have Blizzard.
In the northeast, the party goes through the western door (time 19:13).
They find the boss (time 19:25). After some monologue, they must fight the Sergeant. He is physically powerful for this point. Blink and/or Protect will help.
The party opens the chest behind him (time 21:03). It contains some Mythril! After collecting it, they cast Teleport to leave the cave. Be sure to heal up the character who used Teleport, as it will leave them in critical.
The party returns to Salamand (time 22:39). While my party purchases some Bronze gear, it may be a better idea to wait until they take the Mythril back to Altair.
In other news, Josef keeps a snowcraft in Semitt Falls. Good to keep this in mind.
The party talks to Josef in his house (time 25:06). He will now be more forthcoming with information. It sounds like the Dreadnought being built in Bafsk may be nearing completion. Now, the party must return the Mythril to Altair.
Before leaving, they pick up a couple of Life Tomes. These should alleviate the need for Phoenix Downs.
They leave Salamand (time 26:53). Rather than sailing, they walk, following the coast southwest from Poft to Paloom. They continue walking from Paloom to Altair.
Next time, they will report in to Princess Hilda and learn what their next mission is.
Thanks for watching!
