Final Fantasy IV: Ultima is a hack by 8-bit fan that aims to present a more expansive version of the classic. New weapons, spells, bosses, and a modified overworld are just a few of the changes on tap.

Time to invade Baron Castle...or we would if it weren't for two guards blocking the way. Thankfully, there's a locked door in the town of Baron to the north of Serpent's Road that can be unlocked with the Baron Key. After going inside, you can take a hidden passage to the east for a Healing Staff before you enter into the Underground Waterway.

Once again, enemies shouldn't pose much of a threat. So much so that I'm using only Cecil & Yang to clear the way. This lets me pour the exp onto the two units that'll be in my party for a long time and will pay dividends for when party members rejoin the team for the 2nd time and beyond.

The first screen of the waterway is linear save for a small detour to pick up a Thunder Rod, Ether, and Zeus' Rage.

On the second screen, there's two hidden passages once you go into the water. Go south first and you'll collect a StopTrap & Silk Web along the way. When you're going north towards the exit to the next room, look for a hidden passageway to your west so you can claim a Hermes' Sandals.

Screen #3...short, but with a quick detour for an Ether.

Screen #4 has two exits. The northeastern one leads to the back of Baron Castle, but the northwestern exit leads to a save point and a hidden passage leading to the Slumber Sword for Cecil. Less accurate, but much more powerful than the Legend Sword and also a chance to inflict sleep to the attacked target.
