In this episode we discuss the weapons for sale in Melmond, and make a stop back at the Earth Cave to step into the Hall of Giants. After taking on a few Giant encounters, we head out, setting sail west for Crescent Lake, where Lukahn the Sage and his friends await us. After checking out the new weapons, armor, and spells, the most notable of which is the Power Word inspired spell Stun, we talk with the Sages, learning that 200 years ago the Fiends of Air and Water joined forces to destroy civilization, and that the Fiend of Fire awaits us in the Gurgu Volcano. One of the Sages gifts us the Canoe, a new vehicle that allows us to traverse the rivers that comprise the path between us and the Volcano. After purchasing the maximum amount of healing potions, we paddle down the the maze of rivers towards the Volcano. After several dangerous encounters, we arrive at the top of the Volcano, and must climb downward to confront the Fiend of Fire. On our way, we navigate damaging lava covering the floor, maze-like treasure rooms, and difficult trap encounters, but are rewarded with an immense treasure hall of powerful equipment. Finally entering the Fiend's lair, we must defeat Kary, the Maralith-inspired Fiend of Fire.
