Obtaining the cube in order to gain access to the Sky Temple later on, after that it's time for the Water Shrine and face off against the Fiend of Water, the Kraken. In the Water Shrine, there are many cool treasures, lots of gil, and a key item known as the Rosetta Stone. After the Water Shrine, the heroes head to Melmond and give the Rosetta Stone to Dr. Unne to learn the language of the Lufenians.

Kraken Guide: As a water fiend, his weakness is Lightning. Have your Red/White Wizards cast NulFrost, Protera, and Healaga when in danger of KO. The Black Mage of course must use Thundaga against Kraken. If you have the Giants Glove, have your fighters use it to cast Saber, which increases strength in your physical attacks. Of course, you have to use Haste on your fighters in order for Saber to be a lot stronger.
