Continue to explore the inner sanctum and you’ll spot a green light of some sort. Interact with the green light and Necrophobe will appear. During the battle, Necrophobe is accompanied by a quartet of Barriers, which act as the protector of the boss. If you attempt to attack Necrophobe while the barriers are still around, nothing will do anything, so focus your fire on the Barriers first. Even so, the Barriers are preloaded with the reflect effect, knocking back any spell attack you attempt on them. The Barriers will use fire, lightning, ice, holy, and flare spells. Summoning Bahamut could deal the most damage to the Barriers. After all of the Barriers are gone, Necrophobe is now vulnerable to damage. Necrophobe has the same spells as the Barriers and can sometimes move twice per turn. It can use flash to blind a target, vacuum wave to sap the target, hurricane to reduce the entire team to a single digit of health remaining, and death to bring the target down instantly. When the fight goes on long enough, Gilgamesh will join in. After much talking, Gilgamesh will sacrifice itself to defeat Necrophobe. Once the battle ends, continue to explore the inner sanctum.
