the beginning of Chapter 17 started with the team in Aerith's room where she spent most of childhood, in Hojo's lab. It continues on to go through Hojo's lab, fighting all his experiments, from machines to mako infused creatures! There our heroes find Sepiroth before he takes Jenova out of her container. Then up to president Shinra's office where president Shinra dies, and on to fight Rufus.

The gang escapes Shinra Building, only to fight guards and mechas on the road all the way to the end, where they find Sepiroth again! He opens a portal, and there they fight this giant monster!
