Selphie and the others may have failed to stop the missiles, but it is up to Squall's team to save Ballamb Garden from destruction. The problem is that due to the team's actions in Galbadia, the Garden is split up into two factions; Cid's faction and NORG's faction (the latter is trying to butter up to Sorceress Edea to ensure survival). It is the first part of a long endeavor to not only convince everyone to get to safety but, get to Cid and warn him of the danger before Ballamb is nothing more than a crater.
