The name of the piece says it all!
It's based around two famous FF8 motifs, which are exposed right at the beginning. The first one is melodic: basically two close notes descending and another note a bit higher. The other motif is the famous "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" from "Liberi Fatali". It's just A's repeated in a precise rhythm with a changing harmony underneath.

What's fun in this piece is seeing how these two motifs combine and evolve. My favourite bit is the quiet part just before the end.

PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR THE SHEET MUSIC!! If you really want to play this music, then do Square-Enix a favour and go buy the sheet music book, it's definitely worth it.
