For years, it has been said that it is harder to beat Dark Anima if you have over 9,999 HP. That's because Dark Anima uses Mega-Graviton and Pain: attacks that are just as effective against a high HP party as they are against a low HP party. But does this actually make the battle harder?

The answer is no. You can just as easily beat Dark Anima with 99,999 HP as you can with 9,999 HP, in a comparative amount of time and with a 100% chance of victory.

Just follow this simple strategy:

What you need:
1. Rikku and two other characters with maxed stats, Celestial Weapons, and Comrade Overdrive Mode. Three characters with First Strike to get a few extra turns at the start of battle. One character with Initiative to block Ambush.
2. The standard dark aeon BHPL armor:
Break HP Limit
Ribbon
Auto-Haste
Auto-Regen

If you have an extra BHPL + Ribbon armor for Rikku, customize Curseproof instead of Auto-Regen so Rikku is immune to Curse. In this video I do not use Curseproof.
3. The following abilities and items: Quick Hit, Entrust, Full-Life, Healing Spring, Map, Holy Water.

Rules of battle
1. Attack with Quick Hit or Attack if you are out of MP.
2. If Dark Anima uses Attack on Rikku and she doesn't have Curseproof, use a Holy Water on her to cure Curse.
3. If Dark Anima uses Pain, bring the victim back with Full-Life.
4. If Dark Anima uses Mega-Graviton or Oblivion, have Rikku Mix a Healing Spring and Map to recover the party's HP and MP. Someone may have to use Entrust on Rikku to fill her Overdrive Gauge.

If you follow that strategy, it is impossible to lose. Dark Anima will be defeated in about ten minutes. If anyone is wondering why my characters have so few abilities, it is because I removed the unnecessary ones in FFXED to make it easier to create this video.
