Final Fantasy XI #311, Crystal War: Bastok: Storm on the Horizon; Fire in the Hole (start)

Previously, Heorot continued Rhapsodies of Vana'diel with some Chapter 2 missions: "Banishing the Darkness", "Over the Rainbow", "Cacophonous Discord", and "Eddies of Despair". For "Eddies of Despair", he progressed through Escha - Ru'Aun. He began "Pretender to the Throne" and made an attempt at Balamor, but Balamor is pretty tough. Now, he will resume the Wings of the Goddess storyline. He is currently on Wings of the Goddess Mission 8: "In the Name of the Father". He will return to Bastok [S] for the next round of Crystal War quests.
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok in the present. He heads outside.
Bastok Mines (time 0:59):
Heorot talks to Crying Wind, I.M., at I-10 to renew his Signet. Then, he uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Bastok Markets [S] in the Gustaberg Front.
Bastok Markets [S] (time 2:49):
Heorot talks to Red Canyon at H-4 to exit to North Gustaberg [S].
North Gustaberg [S] (time 3:34):
Heorot reenters Bastok Markets [S] at J-9.
Bastok Markets [S] (time 4:01):
When Heorot enters Bastok Markets [S] on foot from North Gustaberg [S], a scene takes place after "In the Name of the Father" is begun. The situation with the Galka is definitely heating up.
After the scene, Heorot talks to Gentle Tiger by the entrance to the Metalworks at H-6. This triggers a scene with Klara and Senator Karst. This starts Bastok's sixth Crystal War quest, "Storm on the Horizon". Heorot must accompany Volker in spying on, er, observing Senator Karst's meeting with Chairman Pale Eagle atop Zegham Hill in North Gustaberg [S].
After the scene, Heorot talks to Red Canyon at H-4 to exit to North Gustaberg [S].
North Gustaberg [S] (time 17:42):
Heorot climbs onto Zegham Hill using the ramp at I-8. In the southeast of the hill, he finds the ramp to the second level at J-8. Then, at J-7 in the northeast, he finds the ramp to the hill's top level.
At J-7 on the top level of the hill, Heorot examines the Monument. This triggers a cutscene with Pale Eagle and Senator Karst. However, it sounds like Five Moons has escaped to Grauberg. Heorot must head there right away.
After the scene, Heorot casts Warp to return to Bastok Mines in the present.
Bastok Mines (time 29:56):
Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Grauberg [S] in the Gustaberg Front.
Grauberg [S] (time 30:37):
Heorot arrives at the Survival Guide at L-4.
Heorot enters the secret cave that starts at the southeast corner of H-5. Within, he examines the ??? at I-6. This is the same ??? that was used for the earlier quest "Fires of Discontent". This triggers a cutscene with Five Moons, Werei, Gumbah, and Volker. Heorot earns an Icarus Wing, an item that boosts TP. "Storm on the Horizon" complete!
After the scene, Heorot casts Warp to return to Bastok Mines.
Bastok Mines (time 36:50):
Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Bastok Markets [S] at I-9.
Bastok Markets [S] (time 37:36):
Heorot talks to Red Canyon at G-4 to exit to North Gustaberg [S].
North Gustaberg [S] (time 38:17):
At J-9, Heorot reenters Bastok Markets [S].
Bastok Markets [S] (time 38:41):
When Heorot enters Bastok Markets [S] on foot from North Gustaberg [S] after completing "Storm on the Horizon", a long cutscene takes place.
This starts Bastok's seventh Crystal War quest, "Fire in the Hole". Heorot must help the Mythril Musketeers take out some Quadav siege turrets in the Ruhotz Silvermines. Heorot acquires the Silvermine Key temporary key item.
After the scene, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at G-4 to teleport to North Gustaberg [S].
North Gustaberg [S] (time 48:58):
Heorot arrives at the Survival Guide at F-7.
At E-9, Heorot finds the Stonehoused Adit door. He examines this door for a cutscene. He is going to be paired with Adelheid of the Special Operations Squadron to blow up a Quadav siege turret. For some reason, no one else is eager to work with her.
After the scene, Heorot examines the Stonehoused Adit door at E-9 again. He chooses the "Fire in the Hole" objective. He is taken into the Ruhotz Silvermines. This consumes the Silvermine Key.
