Previously, some more events took place in Rabanastre. Basch joined the party on a permanent basis. However, the party learned that Penelo was abducted! They must go to Bhujerba to rescue her from Lhusu Mines.

After resuming in the Westgate, the party heads into the Aerodrome (time 0:38). The only commercial flight available runs between Rabanastre and Nalbina.

The party speaks to Balthier (time 2:56). First, Vaan solicits information about Bhujerba.

They speak to Balthier again (time 3:18). Vaan says that he is ready. There is a prompt for confirmation, since this is another point of no return for a little while.

A cinematic scene takes place in the hangar (time 3:46). The Strahl is a nice airship. What a pity the player can't fly it around the world manually.

Afterwards, there is a scene somewhere in Bhujerba (time 5:53). Poor Penelo. Ba'Gamnan and his crew are vile.

Another cinematic scene takes place as the Strahl approaches Bhujerba (time 7:26). Lovely.

A scene takes place as the party arrives in Bhujerba's Aerodrome (time 8:02). Imperial soldiers are searching for someone, but who?

We gain control of the party in Bhujerba's Aerodrome (time 8:26). For the time being, no flights are leaving the city.

The party examines the Bhujerba Crystal (time 9:02). However, a dense plot device prevents teleportation right now.

A scene takes place when the party heads outside to Travica Way (time 10:58). They run into a boy who haltingly identifies himself as Lamont. Lamont joins the party as a guest. He wants to accompany them to Lhusu Mines. Sure, Lamont.

After the scene, we gain control of the party on Travica Way (time 12:26). Lamont joins at Level 10, relative to Vaan's current Level 9. Lamont knows the Shades of Black technick, which casts a random Black Magick spell on the enemy. The spell could be as innocuous as Fire or as powerful as Flare. I set his Gambits so that he uses it liberally on enemies.

The party talks to the Cartographers' Guild Moogle (time 15:12). They pick up the Bhujerba map for 70 gil and the Lhusu Mines map for 650 gil.

For the time being, the party ignores Rithil's Protectives, the armor shop, and Targe's Arms, the weapon shop. However, they do pay a brief visit to Mait's Magicks to see the spells on offer. Most of the exits from Travica Way are blocked.

In the southeast, the party continues on to Miners' End (time 22:33).

At Clio's Technicks, the party picks up the Charge technick for 1,500 gil (time 24:24). The user can invoke Charge to restore a small amount of MP, but if it fails, it leaves the user's MP at 0. It is best use at low MP amounts.

The party buys Gambit targets at Bashketi's Gambits (time 29:17). They focus on Self: MP less than 10% to go with Charge. They also get a range of Ally: status targets, Foe: weak targets, and Foe: vulnerable targets. Foe: undead and Foe: flying are useful, too.

The party returns to Mait's Magicks on Travica Way (time 33:11). They pick up the White Magick Protect for 250 gil, the White Magick Shell for 250 gil, and the Black Magick Blizzard for 240 gil. Oddly, though, Fran does not have the Black Magicks 2 license available, so she won't be able to use Blizzard as a Red Battlemage.

In Miners' End, the party continues northeast to Lhusu Square (time 34:11). This zone has an item shop and a save crystal convenient to Lhusu Mines.

Next time, the party will begin exploring Lhusu Mines.
