Final Fantasy XIII-2 Playthrough: Part 41 (The End; Normal)
0So, we've reached the last episode for this playthrough of FFXIII-2! Unfortunately it's just the normal ending (mostly because I haven't gotten done with all the paradox endings and stuff, nor have I purchased the DLC). So officially, this will be the last episode for this playthrough. I may do the paradox stuff and/or DLC in the future, but I wanted to give this playthrough a proper ending and I think even just the normal ending goes a long way after I stalled this series. So this will be considered the end, whilst anything that may come in the future will just be extras.
Plus it's not like all the extra stuff gives a proper explanation of events. It's still set up for a sequel. So make what you will of the ending here, it could of course be so much better, but this is what happens when you plan a story over sequels, rather than plan it for one game. Previous FFs we're all able to tell their stories in one game, why this can't be done now only infuriates fans.
I may create a review for this game later on. But that isn't quite a priority at the moment. In general I still had a lot of fun with the game. It probably wasn't as good as FFXIII in some parts, whilst in others it was better. So a mix baggage, just like the original. Overall, the FFXIII universe is a bit too average.
And of course, finally, thanks to everyone that continued to watch this, even after I stopped commentating. Somehow this series still managed to draw some viewers, so perhaps I was very foolish to stop in the first place. Post-commentating just got the better of me here, as it adds so much time to creating/rendering videos at at time when I wasn't so free.
I so very wanted to have another completed series/playthrough though. I said I'd do this game, and so hopefully the normal ending is a good place to officially stop. As for the boss fight in this episode, I have to say that these dudes were hard. I didn't have great monsters in my party nor was my levels that high, so they got the better of me. They didn't kick my ass, I was just never able to get good damage on the center Bahamut when I got to him, which meant a draining fight I slowly lost due to wound damage anyway. So I had to level up and come back to fight these guys. Great fight though, and like I said, great sequence of final boss battles.
