First time running this dungeon.

The Aurum Vale, one of the most hated dungeons before you beat the game...It's optionable BUT you gotta come here in order to get your level 50 grand company weapon since you need Gilding the Bilious done to rank up! Also it'll allow you access to the dungeons after this so you really have to if you want to progress in the game!

This run was....Not too smooth but at least we didn't get owned by the bosses. The tanks sometimes pulled a bit too much and they let the Morbol seedlings hatch when you should just kill them(they did it for more exp).

The Locksmith fight is....Not an issue as long as your tank and healer know what they are doing! The first time my duty finder group failed this dungeon since the tank kept moving and thus let the boss hit us with AOE, this tank actually held the boss in place for the most part! Just everyone needs to take the fruit at 2-3 gold lung stacks. The fruit grows back fast for this fight so it's not bad.

Coincounter? He's a lot like a world boss also in Coerthas, whom also has a melee AOE type move that will one shot most players. :P Yeah, so Coincounter is nasty if you're a melee or the tank he doesn't telegraph his moves too easily. The only thing he can really hit you with if you're ranged on the other hand is Glower which I easily dodged for the most part. Not a bad fight really, just stay alive and don't get one-shot, no gold lung gimmick here!

The plot for this dungeon is:

"Soon after its discovery, miners from across the realm flocked to the Aurum Vale, driven by rumors that deep within lay endless veins of mythril. What they found instead was gold, but not the sort which would make them rich. Believing the substance precious aurum, miners unknowingly stumbled into deep pools of glowing venom thereafter known as goldbile. Not only did the liquid burn their skin, but the noisome fumes given off by the foul ooze cooked their lungs when inhaled, bringing on a quick, yet excruciating death. These truths, however, have done little to prevent new miners from braving the suffocating shafts, now even more driven to find what those who entered before could not."

And our job was basically to try to help with that by at least thinning out the vile creatures that live there. Still really is no real gold there, only the kind that gets into your lungs and KILLS you horribly.

This dungeon is tedious at times but this run was fun, we had a good time and no one like raged too hard even though we had a wipe or two..
