I didn't realise until pretty recently just how much they'd slowed down on optional dungeons, even earlier than I thought. I knew Endwalker only had this one and next week's one, which are from 6.0, but Shadowbringers also only had 2, of Stormblood's 7, two were hard modes, two were part of the Four Lords quest, and one was a leveling dungeon you had to do for an Aether current. Even with Heavensward, most of the optional dungeons were just hard modes. It was pretty much just the base game that had a high number of original and optional dungeons. It makes sense, though, given that they've been wanting to divert more resources into content that people are guaranteed to have to do to reach the endgame. Anyway, all of that says nothing about today's dungeon, a fun romp through a silly Escherian space set to smooth jazz with some fun bosses. What's not to love?
