Previously, the party wrapped up Takka's last quest, "A Meat Most Magnificent", and defeated a Catoblepas in Alstor Slough. They also wrapped up the hunts available at Hunter Rank 4 in Hammerhead, Longwythe Rest Area, and Galdin Quay. Now, they will continue hunting in the Duscae region, starting at Coernix Station - Alstor.

After resuming, the party fast-travels to Coernix Station - Alstor in northeastern Duscae (time 1:32).

In the Crow's Nest Diner - Alstor, the party signs on for the hunt "Reign Triumphant" (time 2:17). The targets are a Garulessa and five Garulas in Alstor Slough during the daytime. Also, the party takes on the hunt "The Rogues of Rydielle Ley". The targets are three Cockatrices in Rydielle Ley during the daytime.

The party begins driving west (time 3:31). They pull over a bit to the west of the Alstor Slough parking spot (time 4:28).

Along a track to the east of the smaller western pond in the Alstor Slough, they find the Garulessa and Garulas for "Reign Triumphant" (time 5:38). It would have been better if not for the Imperial interference. Garuda's assistance is quite welcome here.

In Rydielle Ley to the north of the road, the party finds a food spot that yields Chocobeans (time 9:23).

Then, they find the trio of Cockatrices for "The Rogues of Rydielle Ley" (time 9:57). Look out for Petrify. Again, the Imperial interference is not appreciated.

Back at the car, the party starts back towards Coernix Station - Alstor (time 14:37). Again, the Empire sends forces to slow them down, but the Imperial force does not fare well. Eventually, the party gets back to the gas station (time 16:55).

The party reports to the tipster (time 17:21). "Reign Triumphant" complete! The party earns 3 rank stars, 5,280 gil, and a Mega Phoenix. "The Rogues of Rydielle Ley" complete! The party earns 3 rank stars, 5,880 gil, and a Mega Phoenix. That concludes the hunts available here at Hunter Rank 4.

Then, the party begins driving south to the Wiz Chocobo Post (time 18:35). They soon arrive after a brief drive (time 20:20).

They talk to Wiz (time 20:42). However, there are no new hunts that they can do.

So, the party drives on towards Cauthess Rest Area (time 21:10). After another drive, they arrive (time 22:53).

At the Crow's Nest Diner - Cauthess, the party talks to the tipster (time 23:16). They take on the hunt "Things from the Past". The targets are three Necromancers at the Fallgrove near Costlemark Tower at nighttime. The party chooses to wait until nightfall.

The party begins driving east to the target area (time 24:13). They pull over at the Fallgrove parking spot (time 25:51). They gatehr some elemental energy around Oathe Haven.

The party finds their quarry in a circle of archways northeast of the parking spot (time 28:51). Necromancers can inflict petrification, and they can summon Skeletons. Eventually, the party takes out the Necromancers.

Within the circular area, the party finds a Mega-Potion (time 33:22).

The party begins driving back to the Cauthess Rest Area (time 34:06). They soon arrive (time 35:22).

The party reports to the tipster in the diner (time 35:44). "Things from the Past" complete! The party earns 3 rank stars, 8,080 gil, and a Rune Earring.

"Fiend of the Fallgrove" is a rematch against the Jabberwock in Costlemark Tower. The party will do that later.

The party fast-travels to the Taelpar Rest Area in southwestern Duscae (time 36:46).

At the Crow's Nest Diner - Taelpar, the party talks to the tipster (time 37:27). They take on the hunt "Horned Hunting Hazards". The targets are three Dualhorns in Secullam Pass. They are just southwest of the outpost.

Southwest of the outpost, the party finds their quarry (time 38:53). They soon take out the Dualhorns, with some assistance from Garuda.

Back at Taelpar Rest Area, they report to the tipster (time 41:18). "Horned Hunting Hazards" complete! The party earns 2 rank stars, 3,480 gil, and a Megalixir.

Then, the party takes on the hunt "Hunters of Secullam Pass". The targets are five Coeurls at Secullam Pass during the daytime.

They spend the night at the Three Z's Motel - Taelpar (time 42:50).

In the morning, the party starts driving north (time 43:55). They pull over at the intersection north of the tunnel (time 45:00).

They soon find their quarry (time 45:50). Look out for instant death from the Coeurls' blaster attacks. In time, the party takes out the Coeurls.
