It is paralogue time, and this one takes place at River of Light and Dark, which is a familiar place to Sigurd, and he puts Alear to the test The map does have some mages that can fire long range attacks, and Sigurd does have excellent mobility due to being a Cavalry unit with Canter, and if Alear can succeed, she can unlock more of Sigurd's Emblem powers.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

The reason why I chose to do Sigurd's paralogue is because this is one of the easier paralogues, but not the easiest, this is because there are some Mages that use long ranged attacks, and while Sigurd does have good mobility, he isn't that hard. Sigurd's paralogue is unlocked after 17, and I decided to hold off on Eirika's paralogue because that one is really difficult. I also like the music for this paralogue, it is Trial of the Holy War, and it is a remix of The Final Holy War from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
This paralogue takes place at River of Light and Dark, and the map is based on Chapter 10 of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Most of the opponents on this map are Sages and Martial Masters, they can use staves like Freeze, Fracture, and Physic, while the Sages have some powerful magic tomes like Elfire and Elthunder, you will want to bring a unit with good Resistance to take on the magic attackers. The first objective is to defeat the Sage guarding a castle, this one has Meteor, a long ranged tome which can hit up to 7 spaces, and the Sage does have a Revival Stone, this one shouldn't be too hard if you can use weapons to target the lower Defense stat. There are two Sages on the southwest corner of the map with Bolganone and Thoron, and they have like maximum stats, I do not recommend fighting them, the Bolganone Sage has three Revival Stones, and the Thoron Sage has two Revival Stones, you do get 1000G if you can defeat them, but you are better off testing your luck with Anna's personal skill to get 500G than fighting the Sages.
Once the Sage guarding the castle is down, the drawbridge is lowered, and that is when Sigurd will start moving, and several reinforcements will appear, and you don't need to fight them. On the northern part of the map is a hidden Goddess Icon, but as Sigurd's movement does cover a wide range, almost the entire northern part of the map, it's not worth going for.
Sigurd is a Cavalry unit, and fun fact, Vander does have dialogue when you have him fight Sigurd, which was why I brought Vander for this battle, I guess it's because Sigurd was used by Lumera back in Chapter 2, so I could see why. Sigurd has a Brave Lance to strike twice, and Tyrfing is a sword that boosts Resistance by 5 when wielded. He does use Override multiple times and whenever there is line to at least two units is when he uses it. The best way to fight Sigurd is use weapons that deal bonus damage to Cavalry units, like the Horseslayer, Ridersbane, or the Rapier from some Emblems, and he does have a Revival Stone.
After completing the paralogue, this does increase the maximum Bond Level to 20, and for skills you can get from Sigurd, some of which are upgrades to previous skills from up to Bond Level 10. For skills that increase the hit rate, Hit+20 at Bond Level 12, Hit+25 at Bond Level 16, and Hit+30 at Bond Level 19, those can be good skills for a unit that does not have a good Dexterity stat. Canter+ at Bond Level 13 has the unit move 3 spaces after acting, this costs 2000 SP, but if you can get enough, it is worth it. Lance Power has upgrades, 4 is at Bond Level 14, and 5 is at Bond Level 18, and Momentum+ at Bond Level 17 increases the damage from the first strike, and it removes the maximum bonus, making this good for Cavalry units. Tyrfing is unlocked at Bond Level 15, and this grants Resistance +5 when equipped, Sigurd is an Emblem that is all about mobility, and while they are some good upgrades, the normal versions are easier to get.
For the rest of the video, I do some exploration around the Somniel, and I take part in some activities and view some support conversations.
