It's been two months since Pokémon Stadium has come to Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online, and we haven't had any news on when the next Nintendo 64 game will come, or when we ever get Pokémon Stadium 2. They did fix the error where the names were displayed in purple, that is when a Pokémon has a move it cannot normally know, don't know why they did that in the initial update when it first came to Nintendo Switch Online, but it is fixed now.
As with this battle, I ended up getting Nidoking as the lead, while the CPU started the fight with Squirtle, whenever Blizzard is used by the CPU, there is that chance of freeze happening, and that is not a good sign when it does happen. I do get some good Rental Pokémon, like Staryu, Gengar, and Nidoking, I have Tauros for getting in some damage with its Normal-type moves, and while Kangaskhan does have some attacks of many types, it cannot make good use of them because of its low Special stat.
I don't tend to understand why the CPU brings in Pokémon with the type disadvantage, a good example is why bring in Ninetales when I am using Staryu, when the CPU could have sent out Electrode to give them a good advantage, but then again I can switch to Nidoking when that does happen. There were two points in the battle where the CPU should have used Electrode, another example was where I had Doduo out, and the CPU sent in Hitmonchan instead. This battle did end up going very quick, this must be what happens when one of us ends up with a team with an easy advantage against the other.
