- Ogma: Automatically. An excellent unit to use. I may bench him later on, though, since my Avatar is already a Mercenary. I'm not quite sure yet, though.
- Yumina: Automatically. She is a decent enough unit. Malicia is a bit better, though, since Yumina's Resistance stats aren't as high as hers.
- Yubello: Automatically. He's good enough, but Linde and Merric are better.
- Sirius: Talk to him with Ogma. He is already promoted, but still an okay unit. The problem with him is that he is needed later on if you wish to recruit all available units so you might want to at least give him some experience.
- Castor: Visit the northern village with Marth. He's still an okay unit. Warren and Ryan are better than him.
- Caeda: Automatically after finishing the map. She's a good unit that lacks some strength. Palla surpasses her, especially since she comes at a higher level.
