Fire Emblem if (Fates) [My Castle Functions]
71So... this video, while not the best because I have not FULLY explored the castle functions... I pretty much have the gist of it.
Unlike Awakening's Streetpass function... this is a BIG step up from that. While you won't be able to really buy those rare stat boosting items so much anymore... you can...
Make your own castle town!
What can be included in the town are...
Shops (Armory and Vendor, each side having exclusive items... while the 3rd route/Invisible Kingdom gets BOTH shops)
Resources such as gems and food items. (1 of each per path, while the 3rd route/Invisible Kingdom gets 2 of each) These resources are for different things in your town such as buying accessories, feeding Lilith, making food items for your next battle and much more!
An Arena to make bets with your resources, (Think... arena from the original FE games)
An Accessory shop to put your characters in certain items... I don't recommend hat type items though...
and much much more as well as ways to upgrade your buildings and resources as well! (via "dragon vein points" which you obtain through battles, whether they are online, side quests or from the main quest)
Besides streetpassing your castle, you can also POST IT ONLINE FOR ANYONE TO VISIT! That is right, just like Animal Crossing... except even better in the fact that while you have the way of posting your address for everyone to see, you are also given a list of towns that you can visit too!
When you visit these towns, they have resources you can take as well (which... recommended as the resources in your town aren't anywhere near enough of what you need for yourself) and visit their shops as well which... if you are on a path besides the 3rd route/Invisible Kingdom, you won't have any other way to access the opposite side's weapons UNLESS you go online to someone's castle town.
Something you may also do is challenge the town creator to a battle whether it is at your own castle or their castle and set handicaps before battle (which... I haven't explored too much but it seems like there may be a way to "die for good" if no handicap is set)
Before I was told, I thought you COULD grind with Nohr on this but... you actually can only grind supports on the Nohr side as they have experience turned off for this function for some reason... only reason I could say is because the game is already level friendly via the Nohr side since the game doesn't feel as unfair via levels with Nohr as it does with the 3rd route on Lunatic mode (probably same can be said with the Hoshido side as far as unfair levels)
Hopefully this video does inform people how awesome this feature is compared to the original's streetpass only feature!
Note: Time of day changes as you do battles! This includes side and online battles and you can see the scenery change as the battle continues. As the day passes, resources will restock and other activities in the castle area will become available again. (lotto, arena, etc.)
