Not too hard. I had a 6 turn strat that also got all items but instead of getting Volke to the White Gem, had Stefan try his luck at getting it. In the end I chose this one since already dealing with 2 Thieves on the fiels is frustrating enough as to add the challenge of getting the White Gem. (Stefan has a ~53% of getting the White Gem).
This strategy should work on all modes because if I remember correctly, the enemy number doesn't change.
