Byleth has led the Golden Deer all the way to the Imperial Palace, and along with Claude and the others, they enter the Imperial Palace to take on Edelgard once and for all. As the Imperial Palace is a very large map, and we will need some Door Keys if we want to take on the Adrestian Emperor herself, and she has prepared some very powerful Demonic Beasts as well as some of the more powerful Imperial Troops, and we get some help along the way.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

We have entered the Imperial Palace, and it is time to take on Edelgard. This map is the same as the final map in Azure Moon, but this time we start in the middle room of the map, and there are doors which require keys to open, and we don't have to deal with siege tomes and 30 range attacks.
Claude suggests we defeat the Imperial General Assassin first, that would be Petra if you didn't recruit her, and she is evasive with her high Speed and Avoid, she has Alert Stance+ and Keen Intuition to evade attacks, if you can start with a Gambit, you should be able to defeat the Assassin, and she does have the Wo Dao, if Petra was not recruited, this would be even more harder, she does drop a Door Key when defeated, which you will need if you want to fight Edelgard. There are three Giant Demonic Beasts on this map, and Arm Press is their Staggering Blow, this inflicts a -5 Speed debuff and it has a 6x3 range, and there are two units using a Ballista and a Fire Orb.
On the southern side of the map is an Imperial General Warlock, which would be Dorothea if she was not recruited, and she has unique dialogue if you fight her with Manuela. The Warlock has Alert Stance+ and Darting Blow, and her Ragnarok can really hurt, and she will also drop a Door Key when defeated, and for the three chests in the southwestern room, you get Silver Gauntlets, a Giant Shell, and a Kadmos Shield, this will nullify bonus damage against armored units, so unless you are using a Fortress Knight or Great Knight, this can be a good shield.
You can steal a Vulnerary from Petra and Dorothea, and for other items, a Grappler has a Door Key, and a Gremory has a Talisman.
On turn 3, Dedue enters from the eastern entrance, he has a Silver Axe and Hexlock Shield, and he should be able to handle the Imperial Troops without any problems with that high Defense, and he can deal with the Giant Demonic Beast on the north side, but he cannot deal with magic attacks, and you don't get any reward even if you prevent Dedue from being defeated, and when you enter the throne room, a Warrior comes from the northeastern stairs, and a Warlock from the northwestern stairs, and you can prevent the reinforcements by leaving a unit to block the stairs.
Then for the fight with Edelgard, and the music that plays when you fight her is Indomitable Will, and she has unique dialogue if Byleth, Claude, Lysithea, Seteth, or Flayn fight her, and Claude has some quotes if Edelgard's HP drops below 50%.
Edelgard is a tough opponent, she is in her unique class of Emperor, and she has a lot of HP, Strength, Defense, and Charm, and her Aymr allows her to use Raging Storm, and her Supreme Armored Co. has Raging Flames, which is a very powerful Gambit. She has Armored Effect Null, protecting her from any bonus damage against armored units, she has Counterattack so she can counter from any range, Hit +20 will ensure she will land a hit with Aymr. If Dedue fights against Edelgard, he cannot finish her off, so your units have to be the one to land the finishing blow.
After the battle, we get a cutscene where Byleth deals the killing blow to Edelgard, and the screen turns black at the end, I guess they didn't want to show a violent death happening. Then after the battle, Judith gives us the letter, which was from Hubert, and we learn about Those Who Slither in the Dark, which were the group Kronya and Solon were part of, and they hate the Church of Seiros and the Children of the Goddess. Then Byleth and Claude reunite with Rhea and learn about who Nemesis really is, and in that scene, you can see Rhea's ears, which is why Rhea's hair usually hides her ears, and Sothis does have the same kind of ears, hinting that Rhea could really be related to Sothis in some way. She tells us about Nemesis's connection to Those Who Slither in the Dark, and why the Imperial Army started the war in the first place.
