Fire Emblem: Three Houses S1 E47(144) Part 1
1Arianrhod is the Welsh moon goddess, but when it comes to Fódlan it is a fortress that controls the border on Faerghus' southwestern extent bordering the empire. This silver maiden will be essential for access to either nation in this great war. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to Dimitri's designs on Enbarr. This is a map that flirted with being fiddly in terms of trap design, but seems to hold back from griefing the player; that being said I believe the best route involves knocking out Hanneman, taking on Manuela and finishing the map off with Hubert in that cycle. I could not push to Hubert immediately, due to the likelihood of being hammer and anvil maneuvered by the troops to our immediate east. There probably is a way to handle them, but I feel that it is more conducive to draw out the closest generic enemy siege tome to the west to knock him out before rolling up Hanneman. I did not like crushing Hanneman and to an extent Manuela, but they drew their weapons on my students, so them's [sic] the brakes.
The empire needs to hold this fort and Myrddin much more so than Merceus; however, Merceus is better at controlling territory within the empire, so it almost makes sense for Faerghus to go it alone to the southwest if we end up securing the silver maiden of the west. However, coordinating an assault upon the southeast with the Leicesterians, contingent on garrisoning Arianrhod could also provide a force discrepancy for the empire that would be harder in the ill defended west. Due to the lack of additional fortifications in the West, the imperial army can let the blue lions run amok to the west but must retain the more permanent holding of Merceus (a land army that cannot hold a local castle during a warring season is not a threat to a medieval setting). One of my main tasks involves both taking the ramparts where Hanneman is located and then assault enemy pods from there. I am less concerned with Manuela if she stays put, but more likely than not we will attack her from range due to her poor choice in class lack thereof. **NOTES** ANNOUNCEMENT-After buying two different file recovery software programs and wasting a day trying to recover the lost file this is the only video for this chapter, I'm sorry everyone. This is probably the first time that knight units pose a viable threat in three houses. I dislike snaking maps that feel artificially long most of the time, but this map has a good pace despite mirroring that sort of tempo. I would have been wrecked by those siege tomes if I had not checked the enemy attack range. These episodes are normally scheduled for noon EST. We are currently sitting 33-13 we had an episode off air affecting our count, and the MVP will be determined in the next video. Part 2 is uploaded.
