After a surprising turn of events following the battle at Ailell, we then learn that Garreg Mach Monastery is under attack, and Count Varley is in danger. It turns out that there are two different troops, there is the Central Church led by Rhea, and Those Who Slither in the Dark, led by Thales, which could lead to a three way battle in defending Garreg Mach.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

When you start exploring in this chapter, Arval is not present, possibly due to the events of the previous chapter, but this does unlock Shez's A Support with Byleth. If you did not recruit Byleth, then the Chapter 14 battles takes you straight to the final chapter, so you don't do the extra two chapters.
We find out that Garreg Mach is under attack by the Central Church, who have come to reclaim the monastery, and Those Who Slither in the Dark, who are attacking the Imperial and Church troops, and this can lead to a three way battle in an attempt to save Count Varley.
You might be wondering why Bernadetta doesn't seem to want to rescue her father at first, this is something that is never explained once in this game, and only in some of her support conversations in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Bernadetta was abused by her father, this is something you wouldn't think about at first when you see how cowardly Count Varley acts. Yuri also had backstory relating to Count Varley, so even he feels a bit uneasy about helping the man who beat him up.
I do show the Chapter 14 battle with Mercedes and Ashe against the rest of the Blue Lions, I didn't like the fact that you had to kill Ingrid and Sylvain on this route, and Annette can be spared based on your actions in the battle with her. I did try Manuela or Shamir against Seteth and Flayn, but they don't have unique dialogue against them.
I do try and unlock all Innate Abilities for most of my units, mainly the units exclusive to Scarlet Blaze, Nullify Magic on Edelgard can be really good for the final battle, as there are some magic users to fight against. Another good thing about this being the final chapter is Anna's Shop, she sells unlimited seals, making this good for grinding classes, if you want to work on various Master classes on your units, you can buy as many Master Seals as you can.
I could explain about the Scarlet Blaze route, while a good route, and it does have some good route exclusive units, and if you are wondering which units are exclusive to this route, those units are Edelgard, Hubert, Monica, Ferdinand, Caspar, and Manuela, and there were some units that they didn't make playable in this game, like Randolph could have been playable in this game, Hanneman can be recruited in Three Houses, but is not playable in this game, the same goes for Alois. I did like the reveal of Lord Arundel being Thales, this was never revealed in Three Houses, but was hinted on, and in the credits of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Lord Arundel and Thales were listed to have the same voice actor, like how Tomas turned out to be Solon. I did like how Monica is playable in this game, because in Three Houses, when you first encounter her, I hoped she would be recruited on the Black Eagles route in that game, but she wasn't what you expected, her personality was a bit strange, but in this game, you at least help her for real, and you get to see how close she is to Edelgard.
As for the units recruited, you do get to recruit almost all of the Golden Deer, with the exception of Claude and Hilda, and you only recruit two of the Blue Lions, I did read it had to do with how some of the Blue Lions had close friendships with one another, for example, Ingrid, Sylvain, and Felix have been friends with Dimitri since childhood, and Dedue can't be recruited as he will never abandon Dimitri, and despite Annette and Mercedes being close friends, you can recruit Mercedes on this route, but only if you had Jeritza deployed, and yet you can't recruit Annette.
I do make some preparations for the final battle, and I show Chaos at Albany in this video, as that is the best grind spot on Scarlet Blaze, and I have heard that Chapter 16, the one where you fight Epimenides, is good for gold grinding, specially if you give the Merc Whistle to Balthus and give Golden Fists to a unit that learns Despoil, and the fight does go really quickly.
