When it came to how to best utilize the extra equipment slots, I was torn between creating his ponytail and creating the shield he wears on his forearm. I ultimately went with the shield, since I think it ultimately looks better and helps to complete the weaponmaster look he has with Hilde's weapon style, plus the added bow on his back. Plus, you normally wouldn't notice the ponytail all that much in gameplay anyway, so it wasn't as much of a priority (although normally I do try to prioritize getting the hair right, for better and for worse).
