A viewer commented a few days ago in my previous video about how to flash an XM+ that it wasn't working for him on his QX7. It turns out that newer QX7's use the S-Port at the bottom of the radio, so I thought it might be handy just to revisit the flashing tutorial.

Please take a look at the original videos for a bit more info https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nktu32LpY4

Sadly, my QX7 is an older one that doesn't have any pins in the S-Port, so I can't actually demo it - but the main thing is to use a regular servo cable and not swap the voltage/ground pins.

I use an XM+ as an example here, but if you are flashing receivers with a smart port - use the bundled cable they provide and again, only swap the ground/voltage if you use the expansion bay pins to flash.

The stuff I use in this video (affiliate links used). I actually have a really old original Taranis X9D, you can only get the X9D+ nowadays https://www.banggood.com/Original-FrSky-2_4G-16CH-ACCST-Taranis-X9D-Plus-Transmitter-Carton-Package-p-1121799.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312

The QX7 is available in lots of funky colours https://www.banggood.com/FrSky-ACCST-Taranis-Q-X7-2_4GHz-16CH-Transmitter-White-Black-p-1112717.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312

The XM+ receiver (I love these on my miniquads) https://www.banggood.com/Frsky-XM-Micro-D16-SBUS-Full-Range-Receiver-Up-to-16CH-p-1110020.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=714085&utm_content=3312
