First Dive Into This Top-down Roguelike/Soulslike Hybrid | Into Evil (Beta) - Part 1 (Prologue)
2Hello everyone! Welcome to Into Evil, a mix of Roguelike with Soulslike using a top-down camera that will test your skills. Dive into this dark dungeons with bizarre enemies to kill, upgrade, die and repeat.
I have played a bunch of runs already (I will be uploading them little by little) and it is quite an impressive effort, specially considering it is being developed by a single person. Every run is different from the previous run, even when some of the enemies might be the same. Different items, secrets, bosses and so on. I am enjoying the whole experience, although I am struggling a bit with hitboxes and shadows. Also, not a big fan of the music, because it is really loud and I don't think it fits with the game.
Graphically you could say it is retro and simple, but I like it, it uses the pixel art to make the look even grimmer.
There is still some work to be done in the interface (which is understandable, considering the state of the development), specially with items and consumables, and I would like also a way to see what every item does. Sometimes you get a spell and it comes with no description, so it is hard to know which one is better (somtimes you try it and understand, but sometimes not even using it is clear enough).
