Read here for my review/first impressions:

I played this game quite a bit beyond what I recorded, and overall I'm really enjoying the game. It does feel a bit... unfinished? It is missing a ton of huge features that I'm really hoping will be added (and added for free).

I really enjoy the new features and how things can be unlocked as you go. I unlocked a new personality trait at one point, which was pretty cool. Multitasking is amazing! I'm really happy and impressed with it. I mean, my sim was able to make out with her significant other while eating breakfast. What more can you ask for?

I don't like that there are no basic community lots, like a place to buy groceries and books and such. It feels really unrealistic to me that you buy things from the objects, I mean, how do they get there? I also realize that I do actually miss toddlers, but it looks promising that we will get them eventually. I also really don't like how similar teens look to adults. They should at least be shorter, like in the previous games. It just feels really unnatural that they suddenly grow up into a young looking adult.

The small neighborhoods do feel more like neighborhoods rather than the expansive towns of the Sims 3. I actually have no problems with the lack of a full open world as that caused so many crippling glitches in the Sims 3. It's open world enough, and that you can travel between neighborhoods more than makes up for it. What I really want is a kind of "neighborhood" that's filled with all of the missing buildings (like stores, etc.) that would feel more realistic to me as people typically live in areas that are just for residence and then community buildings are usually all grouped together.

I quite like the new aspiration functionality, I didn't really pursue it much in this video. But it gives goals, and once you meet those goals you get aspiration points and a new set of goals comes up. It kind of feels like a lifelong goal that you pursue rather than fulfilling one single lifetime wish (which could sometimes be granted REALLY early on). The skills are great, I was under the impression that they were removing most of the skills but instead they added a TON of new ones. They also build more naturally.

This is all I have to say for the moment, I definitely recommend buying this game. However, I would recommend waiting for the price to go down if you haven't bough it yet. There are so many features that are missing (which I didn't talk to much about here as I'm sure you've already got your fill of people ranting about them).
