First Look At Folk Tale - Ep. 1 - The Old Before The New!
42I have had my eye on Folk Tale for quite some time. Folk Tale is a fantasy sandbox city-builder rpg game. It has undergone quite possibly the most changes from the original model I have seen. The developers of Folk Tale, Gamesfoundry, came up with their idea for the game and the direction they wanted to take and ran with it. When allowing fans to come into the creation process, some interesting things happened. The fans had a different vision for Folk Tale and a different direction for the game. In an unique twist the developers actually listened to their fans and changed the entire direction of the game. A ton of extra work has been done as nearly every single part of the game has to be redone. Such a massive shift in game design is rarely seen and an impressive undertaking. If you grab the game now in early access you can see the direction the game was going and where it's headed to now. I begin with the old, before showing off the new. Once the game is completed, Folk Tale will have more than have earned itself a full LP. So, let's see where it all began...

My thanks to Games Foundry for all their hardwork and access to their game. It's rare to see a company completely change their game just from listening to fans.
