First Vive Tracker supported VR Games with Body Tracking tested! Final Goalie & Tornuffalo Gameplay
Today I´m trying out the first two officially Vive Tracker-supported VR games for HTC Vive: Final Goalie Football Simulator and the game Tornuffalo! In both gameplays, I'm using 2 or 3 Vive Trackers connected and aligned to my feets and lower back for body tracking and full body tracking ability in Virtual reality on HTC Vive together with the Vive controllers! This is a very special moment for me, as I'm for the first time ever using my Vive Trackers for gameplay, playing football with my feets in Final goalie and kicking some crazy bulls in Tornuffalo :)
The HTC Vive accessory "Vive Tracker" is the latest technology from HTC and Valve that brings you Full Body Tracking in Virtual Reality. This is possible by attaching a tracker on each foot and optionally also a third tracker on lower back parts of your body (besides using the Vive controllers as usual) . This way, the HTC Vive Lighthouses are able to read totally 6 tracking points of your body (head, both arms, both legs and your back) and create a Full Body Tracking model of the player in VR. This gives us amazing and infinite ways of playing games in Virtual Reality, such as kicking ball in Final Goalie Football Simulator with our feets, using your body to avoid obstacles in Tornuffalo and much more.
Final Goalie: Football Simulator was updated with 2-Tracker support yesterday, 7th of April and soon it will have support for 3 Vive Trackers for Full Body Tracking. Besides that, a Freestyle mode and Vive vs Vive multiplayer mode will be added! With upcoming 3 Vive Tracker support, we will finally achieve full body movements in Final Goalie that increases the VR immersion to a whole new level.

Tornuffalo is the second game on Steam that also got Vive Tracker support yesterday, but this game is from start giving us a Full Body Tracking experience where we see our moving body, tracked by the 3 Vive Trackers and 2 Vive Controllers as well as the VR headset, in VR-view. A simple game with a simple gameplay, but still an amazing VR experience in this early stage of Virtual Reality development.
