How to Fix Forza Horizon 5 Not Installing Error Code 0x00000001 On Xbox App Or Microsoft Store On Windows 11 & 10
Step 1) Restart the installation
Step 2) Install KB5004476 Update https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB5004476
Step 3) Update Windows
Step 4) Make sure Gaming services & Xbox Identity Provider is installed
Xbox Identity Provider: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/xbox-identity-provider/9wzdncrd1hkw?rtc=1&activetab=pivot:overviewtab
Uninstall remains of gaming service
Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
Install Gaming service:
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Step 5) Repair/Reset gaming Services & App Installer
Step 6) Make changes in the registry
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services
Delete GamingServices and GamingServicesNet
Restart your PC
Open Microsoft store/Xbox App to install gaming service
Uninstall Gaming Services
Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
Reinstall Gaming Services
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Step 7) Run wsreset command
Step 8) Reset Xbox app and MS Store
Step 9) Run Windows Store troubleshooter
Step 10) Run Powershell Command:
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
Step 11) Start all these services
IP Helper
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
Gaming services
Windows Update
Microsoft install service
Step 12) Run inetcpl.cpl command
Step 13) Run DISM & SFC Command
sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Step 14) If installing on D drive try renaming WindowsApps folder
Step 15) Use media creation tool to update Windows 11/10
