How to Fix God of War Crashing, Crash to Desktop (CTD), Freeze, Black Screen on PC
Step 1) Restart Your PC
Step 2) Do a clean installation of graphics driver:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
https://www.amd.com/en/support
Step 3) Laptop Users with dual graphics card run the game on dedicated graphics card
Step 4) Disable integrated graphics in device manager if you have one
Step 5) Desktop users: Connect the monitor to dedicated graphics card
Step 6) Disable iGPU Multimonitor in System BIOS
Step 7) Create save game folder
C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\Saved Games\God of War
Step 8) Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program or Windows Security
Step 9) Verify the game files
Step 10) Run the game as an administrator
Step 11) Disable Steam overlay and close all the overlay application
Step 12) Update Windows to the latest version
