Fix Microphone Not Working on Windows 10 / 11
If your microphone is not working on Windows 10 or 11, here's how you can fix the issue:
First, open the search bar and type *mmsys.cpl**. This command will open the **Sound Control Panel**. Once you're there, go to the **Recording* tab to view all of your available microphones. If you're using an external microphone, make sure it's connected properly. If it's working correctly, you'll see the sound bar moving as you speak.
If your microphone is disabled, right-click on it and select *Enable**. If it's already enabled but still not working, right-click on the microphone, go to **Properties**, and then the **Listen* tab. You can check *Listen to this device* to test if your voice is being picked up by the microphone. Once you've made the necessary changes, click **Apply**.
If none of these steps solve the issue, try checking for any pending Windows updates or updating your audio drivers.
