I get the following error message/notification while try to access my VLC media player in my new android:

No media files found,please transfer some files to your device or adjust your preferences.



This error solution is common for android,tablet,bluestacks and the android versions are kitkat,lollipop,marshmallow and naugat also.




Some error occurred devices are samsung,asus,asus zenfone,yureka,black berry,micromax,moto e,moto g,moto x,moto z,panasonic,one plus one,vivo,gionee,redmi,nexus,google pixel,lenovo,lg,htc,htc one,samsung galaxy and note devices,genymotion and sometime ios iphone also.

Solution:

1.Goto your android settings-storage.

2.Choose your memory location,which means that your mp3 and other video files storage location.

3.Then go back to one step and click to open "Apps" or "Application manager" and choose "All" Tab.

4.Click this... icon and select Reset app preferences".

5.Locate "VLC" app and click to open it.

6.Untick "Restrict to launch" option and also click "Clear data" option.

7.Once restart/reboot your android mobile the problem is solved.
