Fixing 8BitDo M30 Sega Genesis Annoying Dpad Creaking Noise, Thanks Neil Lemon For Suggestion

The problem with grease is that it changes the mechanical properties of the d--pad. I made a tutorial after trial-and-error with two other lubricants (applied on the same spot I've marked):

I get zero credit for this as Neil Lemon gets all the credit. Original comment from him:

"Just pop out the d pad from the outside, no need to take it apart in any way, then apply a little rubber grease and push the d pad back in, job done!!! Companies use a white lithium based grease which unfortunately dries out which causes the creaking as it’s two pieces of plastic together! Rubber grease doesn’t dry out!!!.. sorted!!..."

I might have applied a little too much so if anything, apply far less than I did!

I cleaned it up a bit more from the sides after the video to make sure there isn't any residue hanging off the dpad. Just make sure the grease is applied within the dpad and you should be good.

The grease also came in handy for my computer chair so it worked out real well!

I remember contacting 8BitDo about this issue, they were totally unhelpful and had no idea how to handle the issue. They pretty much told me to go buy a new one. Glad I didn't bother and knew there had to be some sort of solution to this noisy problem. Thanks Neil Lemon!!!!
